Selecting a Site for a Consolidated 54 & 55 Police Division

The City of Toronto and Toronto Police Service need your help in selecting a new site from a shortlist of three properties for a consolidated 54 & 55 Division.

Based on a recommendation in the Toronto Police Service’s Transformational Task Force report Action Plan: The Way Forward to Modernize Community Safety in Toronto, 54 Division and 55 Division are being consolidated. The City of Toronto’s Real Estate Services division, in partnership with the Toronto Police Service and City Planning, has conducted a search for suitable properties within the service areas of 54 Division and 55 Division. After evaluating properties through a set of criteria, a shortlist of three potential properties was created for a consolidated Police Division:

  • East York Civic Centre located at 850 Coxwell Avenue
  • Danforth TTC Garage located at 1627 Danforth Avenuethe short list for web
  • Current 55 Division police station located at 101 Coxwell Avenue

Community feedback is an important part of the site selection process.

At this stage, we would like to get your input and feedback on the shortlist of potential properties. We are looking forward to working together to ensure that the new site is selected based on the vision and the needs of the Toronto Police Service and the communities we serve.
